The British Virgin Islands have dozens of excellent anchorages, but some stand apart.
The Bight at Norman Island is one of the most popular anchorages in the BVI, and for good reason. Great Harbour at Jost Van Dyke is the social heart of the BVI — Foxy's bar has been a fixture here for decades.
Anegada deserves special mention. It is the only coral island in the BVI, and the approach requires careful navigation through shallow water. But the reward — miles of deserted pink sand beaches and extraordinary snorkeling on the reef — is worth the effort. The lobster at the beach restaurants is the best in the BVI.
